Our Acupuncturists
Rosanne (aka Rosie) earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry at Simon Fraser University in 2005. After that she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine at PCU College for 5 years before obtaining her license as a Registered Acupuncturist, where she then worked at her father’s medical clinic in Chinatown, mainly helping geriatric patients with neuromuscular degeneration, chronic diseases, anxiety, depression, and sleep disorders.
Her holistic approach to helping people involves TCM diagnostics by checking tongue and pulse, and asking questions that will help formulate a treatment plan to the problem in question. Often times there can be many solutions to one problem. Rosie offers acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, cupping, acupressure and/or moxibustion as modalities to help alleviate acute and chronic pain, help destress, and promote relaxation. She likes to emphasize the word treat in her treatments, since people often feel relaxed and rejuvenated afterwards.
If you’re nervous about acupuncture, or are curious to try it, please feel free to let her know, as she will put your mind at ease.
When she’s not working, she is busy being a role model mom to her three young girls. She also enjoys practicing martial arts (especially traditional kungfu and Brazilian Juijitsu), because she believes that if the body is physically strong and healthy, the mind can be as well.
