Moreza Bahar (BPT, MSc Rehab Sci, DPT, CCTT)

Moreza Bahar obtained his Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) degree from the University of Michigan after the completion of Master of Science in Rehabilitation Science program at UBC in 2013. With his background in dry needling, manual therapy and personal training, Moreza likes to provide care that is specifically designed for every individual. Treatments are developed around the needs of the patients and their families and will help them return to their pain-free and active physical lives.

Mandeep Takhar (BSc. Honors Physiotherapy, BSc. Biomedical Physiology and Kinesiology)

Mandeep Takhar received his Honours in Physiotherapy while studying in the UK. Prior to this, he completed his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Simon Fraser University. He has since achieved certifications in myofascial cupping, IASTM, kinesiology taping, and continues to pursue education to provide excellent care for his clients.

His client-centered approach works closely with each individual to reach their physiotherapy goals through manual therapy techniques, exercise, and modalities. Mandeep also has experience working with the senior population to improve muscle and joint pain, recover from joint replacements, and improve overall well-being.

Karla Acuram (BSc. in Physical Therapy)

Karla completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Physiotherapy in 2016 in the Philippines. One of the most essential aspects of her assessments and treatment plans is the proper education she provides to her clients. She believes that letting her patients understand the root cause of the physical problem, can greatly lead to a fast recovery. Karla is a registered physiotherapist in British Columbia and has worked with a variety of conditions such as musculoskeletal, neurological, and sport-related cases by developing and implementing successful fitness and treatment plans.

Matt Mcdonald (Master of Physical Therapy, BSc. in Kinesiology)

Matt gained an interest in rehabilitation after working through several injuries acquired over the course of a childhood spent in athletics. He graduated from the University of Manitoba Kinesiology program in 2019, during which he worked as a Strength Coach for two years training everyone from young athletes to older adults. Directly after that he entered the U of M’s Physical Therapy program and graduated in 2021.

After graduating, Matt worked as a physiotherapist in a small town clinic in rural Manitoba before moving to BC. For the past two years Matt lived and worked in Victoria where he continued to work with a wide variety of injuries and began to specialize in neurological and concussion rehabilitation. He has substantial experience treating people with neurological conditions including: Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s, Acquired Brain Injuries, Strokes, and Spinal Cord Injuries. Matt is passionate about life-long education and continuing to improve his knowledge and skills. His approach to care is based on a client centered model that tailors exercise prescription, education about injuries and conditions, activity modification, and hands on skills to his clients’ needs. Matt aims to help all of his clients return to, or better participate, in the activities that bring them joy and improve their quality of life.

Outside of work Matt enjoys staying active by playing basketball, cycling, and hiking. He also enjoys traveling, reading, and attending live music events with his friends and partner.
